Sony Ericsson users who experience phone problems are strongly advised to run the Update Service, as most of the issues are related to old, unstable or corrupt software.
In fact, even though you have the latest modules installed on your device, it’s still recommended to perform a quick update for optimum performance and stability.
You can periodically run it to check for new updates and to apply them in order to benefit from maximum stability.
Not to mention that each time a Sony phone / tablet model is released, the Update Service immediately becomes available for that particular device.
My phone is from Hong Kong and it was unbranded, full english, just the HK firmware.
I waited for over two hours thinking it was normal but the phone did not start. It was within warranty so SE replaced the internal mechanism (inside the same Body) with a new IMEI no. I also have not installed any extra softwares / applications etc.My email is [email protected] is absolutely the best phone ever made!! @[JP_1] for me w810i is still the best compare to k550i; k550i's advantage over w810i 1)cover on the camera 2)A2DP for wireless stereo 3)internal memory w810i advantage over k550i 1) external memory using MS Pro Dou (4Gb); i have'nt tried using the 8GB MS, i think it's too much =) MS Pro Dou is much affordable compare to MS Micro 2)if you look at the specs both have the same display resolution but compare them on the actual handset and you'll see the difference;w810i is much clearer 3)W810i as a walkman phone have superb megabass feature when using the headset 4)very comfortable keypads if w810i have a cover for the camera lens, Qvga resolution, A2DP support and a bit much louder external speaker...w810 is the greatest phone ever that's my opinion - i'm just comparing the 2 but still you can see i'm biased hihihi it's for you to decide which is the best..As mentioned before, there’s no harm in installing the update anyway, especially if you experience device issues. In conclusion, Update Service is a must for Sony Ericsson owners.
